  • Derrick Rose (courtesy of wikipedia)
Derrick Martell Rose (born October 4, 1988(1988-10-04)) is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Chicago Bulls of the National Basketball Association (NBA). The 6 foot 3 inch point guard had the 11th best selling jersey in the league in the 2008–09 NBA season. Born in Chicago, Illinois, Rose learned the game of basketball from his three older brothers. In high school, he won two state championships and was rated by scouts as the top point guard prospect in the country after graduation. He played collegiately for the University of Memphis Tigers and reached the NCAA national championship game in 2008. Shortly after, Rose declared for the 2008 NBA Draft and was selected first overall by his hometown Chicago Bulls. In his first year of professional basketball, Rose led the team (and all rookies) in assists, voted the Rookie of the Year and was selected to the All-Rookie Team as the Bulls returned to the playoffs. Chicago then fell to the Boston Celtics in seven games.

Noah was born in New York City, United States, of French, Swedish, and Cameroonian descent. He was born February 25, 1985 to singer and former tennis player Yannick Noah, and Cécilia Rhode, Miss Sweden 1978. In addition, his paternal grandfather Zacharie Noah was a Cameroonian professional soccer player, winner of the Coupe de France in 1961. Noah calls himself "the African Viking." He competed on basketball teams for several high schools, first at the United Nations International School (UNIS) in New York City. At UNIS he was coached by Alsonso Shockley, Harry Muniz and David Gartrelle. He reached the championships as the only sophomore on the team. He also played in streetball tournaments and his nickname was "The Noble One" because someone heard that his dad was a pro tennis player. He later transferred to Poly Prep in Brooklyn, New York, where he was coached by Bill McNally, and then to The Lawrenceville School, outside of Princeton, New Jersey

  • Kirk Hinrich (courtesy of wikipedia)
Kirk James Hinrich (born January 2, 1981) is an American professional basketball player, currently backup point guard for the NBA's Chicago Bulls. He has also been a member of the USA National Team. Growing up in Sioux City, Iowa, Hinrich was exposed to basketball at an early age. His father, Jim, coached him from the third grade through high school. As a high school senior, Hinrich was named the 1999 Co-Iowa Mr. Basketball, along with future college teammate and roommate Nick Collison. Hinrich originally committed to play basketball at Iowa State but when the coach at the time, Tim Floyd, took the head coaching position for the NBA's Chicago Bulls, Hinrich changed his mind and decided to attend the University of Kansas. Hinrich played all four years at Kansas before being drafted into the NBA. He is often referred to as "Captain Kirk" because he has been voted a team captain for the Bulls for four consecutive years.
  • Brad Miller (courtesy of wikipedia)
Bradley Alan Miller (born April 12, 1976 in Fort Wayne, Indiana) is an American professional basketball player at the center position for the Chicago Bulls in the NBA. Despite his size, Miller is not in the mold of a traditional center. He has only averaged double-digit rebounds once in his career and has never averaged more than 1.2 blocks per season. Preferring shooting midrange jump shots, he is a very efficient scorer and one of the top-shooting big men in the league. For his career, he has averaged 49.7% from the field and 79.4% from the free throw line. The main thing that sets him apart from other centers is his passing. In 2005–2006, he averaged 4.7 assists per game, good for 29th in the league. Miller is typically recognized as one of the best-passing big men in the league. Miller has also recently added a three-point shot to his game. In 2005–2006, he attempted an average of 1.1 three pointers per game and made 38.6% of them. One of the main negatives about Miller is his durability, as he has never completed a full season.
  • Tyrus Thomas Tyrus (courtesy of wikipedia)
Wayne Thomas (born August 17, 1986, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana) is an American professional basketball player who played one season of college basketball at Louisiana State University and is now a member of the NBA's Chicago Bulls. In high school, Thomas was only 5-10 as a freshman. In high school, Thomas tried out for his varsity basketball team but was cut. He only played organized basketball in his junior and senior years at McKinley High School in Baton Rouge, but never really built up enough recruiting hype to be considered a top 100 prospect. As a junior he was a mere 6-6 and 190 pounds, and when he officially committed to LSU, they did not initially have a scholarship for him. One later opened up when a JUCO recruit was kicked off his team and his scholarship offer was rescinded. Thomas grew to 6-7 ½, 200 pounds as a high school senior, and averaged 16 points, 12 rebounds and six blocks per game, good enough for the all-second team in Louisiana.
